The last few weeks/months have been zooming by at light year speeds. Many a day we feel that we need a super hero, to come in and rescue us.

Check out our holiday super hero's! Both these crazy, goofy kids have the super human powers to put it all in perspective. The reason that we do what we do is for them.

Angelica's Quince~Manteca, CA

Angelica's Quince was very special and sweet. It was a perfect day with amazing clouds in the sky. I love that she was wearing silver converse and wanted to include her basketball. It truly represented her perfectly. She was so much fun and was up for anything we wanted to try.

{Friday Photo Bliss}

Hello everyone, I've missed a few Friday Photo Bliss' not that I do not feel blissful it's that we have been swamped! We are in full blown wedding and quince mode, and things have been hectic. Stay tuned I will post images soon.

This week my photo bliss is my kiddies. These two little people did not ask to be a part of our hectic life, but boy o boy do they know how to roll with punches! These photos were taken this morning.

Friday Photo Bliss/Birth Story/Modesto, CA

Happy Friday friends, this weeks Friday Photo Bliss is my newest client. On Tuesday the 14th I received a call from the expectant parents that labor was in full swing. Let me just say I panicked! I believe I felt more nerves than I did when I was in labor!
I was like a character in one of those movies; quickly jamming everything in my bag, speeding and passing cars and running into the hospital not wanting to miss a moment. Once inside in the waiting room, I took a breath and decided to take the opportunity to organize my bag and make sure everything was in place. That's when I realized that the worst thing that could happen, happened. Somewhere from the car to the entrance to the hospital my Memory Card case and fallen out with my cards (for those of you who do not know what a memory card is, it is a photographers film). TOTAL PANIC MODE!
After tearing up the car and re-tracing my steps the cards were gone. What to do, what to do. I jumped in my car and drove like a mad woman back to the studio across town. Got my extra cards, and zoomed on back.
Once back and calm, it was amazing. I feel truly blessed to have been a part of this moment and being able to document the moment in which life came into the world.

This week my Friday Photo Bliss is Ms. J. This little girl is fearless, and as much as she drives me crazy some days she is truly the apple of our eyes!

She knows EXACTLY what she wants and is not afraid to stomp and scream until she gets it. In this indecisive world I hope she never loses her drive.

Lupita & Alberto~Hughson, CA Wedding

Lupita and Alberto's wedding was so much fun. She looked AMAZING, and had such a beautiful smile throughout the day that it made everything around her shine. You could feel the love in the room, and boy do they love to dance!

Lupita's sister brought all of the wedding details from Mexico, including her gorgeous bouquet!

St Stanislaus / Forgiveness

This past Sunday when we walked in to church we were shocked to find out that the church had been vandalized the night before. It makes me so sad to know that these people came into a place of worship to destroy. Who does this? It is so senseless. All of the lady statues of the church were destroyed.

Father Ramon has asked us all to forgive, and pray for these troubled souls.

This weeks Friday photo bliss is thanks in part to the Escobedo Family and the newest addition, Little Baby Anthony.
Walking into their gorgeous home and looking around I saw our images everywhere. It brought me such pride to know that we have been a part of the milestones in their life from their engagement (shown behind them), their wedding, maternity, and now their newborn.

This week it's my 3 year old and Thomas. I fought tooth and nail to keep this train and all is little friends out of our house since Jake was born. I'm not a fan. Well this is one where I seem to be losing the battle.

Jakob loves Thomas. He loves the trains, the train table, the desk, the puzzles, the coloring books, all of the tracks, etc...Slowly this train is taking over!!

I love watching him play though. I love when he makes voices and situations for his friends. This truly makes me smile. I hope his imagination will continue to thrive, and he never stops playing.

This week we went up to Knight Ferry for an engagement session. We are looking forward to this wedding Melissa and Luis met at Rico's Pizza when they were still in High School! They fell in love over pizza. We are super excited for October at Evanshire Garden.

Waiting for Baby-Maternity

We met the Escobedos about two years ago when we photographed their engagement photos, and then their wedding day on Valentine's Day 2009. They have an amazing family and are such a great couple, we could not be happier for them! Congratulations, we love you guys!

Knights Ferry-Lifestyle

Today was so much fun hanging out in Knights Ferry. We borrowed a few Quinceñera dresses from Atiza Party (thanks boys!) and they gave us the green light to trash one. I could not wait to get home and edit a few.

The girls all did great, and were true troopers. Especially Ms. Rosy, who let us put her in the cold water!


A big THANK you to dgphotographix ,it was great to work together on this project and to Diana for the make-up, the girls looked great!

Michael & Amber - Lifestyle

Awww to be young and in love. Michael a US Marine & Amber were married recently, but did not have the opportunity to take wedding photographs. We were very fortunate to be able to take them out a few weeks ago, especially because Michael is being deported to Afghanistan in the next few days.

Sneak Peek/ Quincenera

Here is a sneak peek from this weekend, when we took Elizabeth out for a mini sort of Trash the Quince Dress. Elizabeth had her Quince last year, and we really wanted to take her out for some fun in her dress. She was a real trooper.

Spring is in full bloom. -Studio

Spring is in full bloom and in full swing here at Atiza Photo. The studio has been jumping with Easter portraits and Birthday invitations.

It's funny, Julianna's 1st birthday/baptisim is on May 1st, and mommy has not gotten her invites done and in the mail. As the saying goes "Casa de herrero, cuchillo de palo." which means "House of a blacksmith, knife of wood". I need to get to work. =)

This month we are trying something new. To help our clients and their family see the smiles that we capture, we have created an online photo gallery. They will be able to view the images, as well as order prints, photo mugs and mouse pads, and have them delivered right to their door!!

Engagement 2010

J&J with Mom - Family

These two amaze me everyday! I am so thankful for all that they have brought into our lives.

Our kiddies, are getting so big. Ms. J is 10 months and is standing on her own ready to run. Mr. J is such a little man, with a vocabulary that amazes us every single day. We are so blessed to have two very healthy kids.

Carlos & Irene/ Engagement

We are so happy & excited for Carlos & Irene! Their wedding is November 6th (heehee my birthday). Juan has known Carlos since the 4th grade, and meeting Irene we know they are meant for each other. We truly love to see them smile!

Happy 2010

I know it's March and we are already well into the New Year. 2010 is going to be an amazing year. We are so excited to be working with such great couples and some pretty awesome families. Both Juan and I feel extremely fortunate, and are ready to work hard to give our clients the best experience possible.
Our newest nephew was born! He is such a cutie. I was fortunate to be able to photograph him 5 days after he was born.


2010 is about new starts, I wish you all an amazing year of smiles!
